I wanted to let you know about a few things near building 4.  We have several lights out - an outside lamp, between buildings 4 and 5, right below the stairs to walk down from the parking level (makes in quite difficult to use those steps at night!).  Inside the building, the light by the attic stairs near apartments 410 and 411 is out, as is a light between the fire doors walking from the attic towards the front of the building.  A fourth light is out by apartment 409, at the front of the building.
We also have some trees still down (rather large ones) behind building 4 from the snow storm.

I understand that things like this can't be taken care of unless they're brought to someone's attention so I hope the message can be passed along through the proper channels. :)

Thank you so much!  I hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving.

Jacquie, Apt 411

I reported in an e-mail to Paul Stewart that 8 street lights were out.  As of 12/10/11 some have been fixed.  One light by Building #3 carport is not just burned out but needs the attention of an electrician as does the light by the clubhouse that was damaged by a falling limb. All problems with lights should be reported in writing to the rental manager.

There is a light (street light type on Pole) outside Building 6, North side,
near the Dumpster, that does not come on at night.
I have difficulty walking sometimes and am afraid to venture to the Dumpster (after sundown) ...
Can we get someone to fix it ?

I will report this light out.  There is another light  broken by the snow storm near the clubhouse that also must be fixed.  You should report problems like this to the office in writing.  I have asked many times for the light poles to be numbered so that it is easier to report street light problems.

Hi, Emmalee, thank you very much.I purchased condo unit 420 in Oak Hill, Nashua not long ago. During the process, you web site (http://oakhillnh.com/) gave us a lot of info, and helped us a lot in the process. Thank you very much again. We are very happy with our decision.

I am not living there right now because I don't want to sell our current house for losing big money. We do plan to move over in the near future. Right now, we are renting it out. Because this place has good environment, the renting process went very smooth.

I have a question. Do you know if there is an online discussion forum for Oak Hill owners and residents? Please let me know if there is one. I think this can help us to exchange some info about this place.

Thanks

Jie

Welcome to Oak Hill.  I don't know of any online discussion group, but it is very easy to start one.

Hi.    The speed limit signs are great .    I notice after years of complaining things are getting done.   The finally replaced the ceiling in the building 4 laundry room and put a sensor light switch that works.  Replaced the parking lot light in front of bldg 4 after a month of complaints.     I ruptured my achilles tendon and I wheel chair bound and cant leave the building no handicap access or ramp in front of building.   Hope to have action to help me called Stewart last week still waiting next step amer disa act. keep up your good work.

 Paul Sicard unit 403

Thanks for the mail.  I can take no credit for the speed limit signs but I think they are great and notice that people are responding by slowing down.  Glad to hear about the repairs to the lights in the laundry room and parking lot.  Oak Hill first floor apartments are somewhat handicapped accessible and the addition of ramps to the patios could help.  It was something that was not considered important at the time the complex was built.  Buildings 4 and 5 are particularly bad because they are reached by stairs from the parking lot.  Some relief is possible by going around the back of the carport in front of building #5 and then going down the slope of the lawn.  Probably requires help to negotiate in a wheelchair.  I strongly suggest that all requests be made in writing and retain a dated copy of the request. I hope you get better soon.

Good Morning

As noted during the Power Outage this AM, the Emergency Lighting System
in Bldg 6 (Apt 601 & 602) was not functional.

As a quick check, the subject Lighting System located near Apt 604
was activated, at that time.

I hope the Property Management plan includes a line entry for
Period Inspection of such facilities and functions.

Regards

The emergency lights in Building #6 were fixed.  Rental Manager reports that the lights are checked once a year and the schedule check is next month. Tenants should report any emergency lights that do not come on when the electricity is out to the rental office.

Car has been removed.  Thanks to all involved.

It seems that every time I come into Oak Hill, I pass the unsightly
Parking Lot near the entrance.

Up until recently, I laughed and said: Well, is this Airport Parking or
is this Summer Parking for College Students (or other old vehicles)?

Now, it seems that the Subject Lot has turned into a
Parking Lot for "Vehicles for Sale" ?

Any way you slice it, it is still a "Blight" on this Community...

When I moved in here, I didn't think I was joining a
"Low Rent District" or the Ghetto in South Nashua ???

I think that ole Green Truck (near the Entrance) has been
parked there long enough, we certainly have overstayed
any definition of "Courtesy Parking".

That lot is supposed to be used for vehicles the owner does not want to move during winter snow storms.  All vehicles parked anywhere must have current license and registration. I certainly agree the unused cars and trucks should not be permanently parked in the first lot inside the complex.

Hi Emmalee,
First of all, I want to compliment you on this excellent and very
informative website. I wasn't aware of it until one day I bumped into
it searching on the internet.

I would strongly recommend that you divulge it to all all residents
(owners and renters) at Oak Hill by letting them know either via
bulletin board or mail box in each building. Besides, I think you
should make it as the Oak Hill's official website. It would be nice to
have a place in the website where users could exchange ideas, info,
post comments, etc... even a bulletin board, like for example, I want
to give away a window air conditioner and I would like to ask if
anyone wants it.

Once again, congratulations for this excellent job.

Regards

I would like to advertise the site at Oak Hill, but that would be soliciting which is against the rules.  So far I have only done it informally by passing out cards to people I meet on my daily walk.  Help me by telling your neighbors.

Good Afternoon

1. At first, I want to compliment you on an Artful, well organized
and quite complete Web Site... As an aside, I particularly like
the Trees and associated photos.

2. I had seen you walking around the Site with your "pick-up tool"
but never guessed that you were picking up papers or other litter.
Thank you for your efforts.

3. As you know, "Fences" in front of some Units got bashed, during the
Snow plow operations. I am particularly sensitive to the broken fence in front
of 6 Midhurst Rd... I hope, now that the Spring Cleanup is about complete,
that Maintenance will repair or restore the broken fence, here (???)

4. Since the Parking Lots were not Stripped, last year, parking in front of
6 Midhurst Rd. is somewhat disorganized after the rush of 5:00 o'clock...
We need new Paint Stripping in the Parking lots.

5. The main road entering the Site needs a new Yellow Line.
Some drivers enter Oak Hill (apparently avoiding traffic on Spitbrook Rd.)
with excessive speed and tend to "not pay attention" to those who may be exiting
Oak Hill. This at times is a serious problem...

Thank Again

Fences were fixed and the yellow line repainted.  Almost all the parking lots need new striping.

Hi Emmalee,
My name is Peter and I just bought a unit at 6 Midhurst. I was wondering if it was against the rules to have a small grill. BTW, I like your website its very informative.
Thank You,
Pete
